Our Airfield at the Algarve
In the region
Supermarkets in Portimao. With the car you can reach serval „SUPERMERCADOS“ in about 10 minutes drive..
The „E.LECLERC“ is the closest super-market to the DZ.
Driving directions:
Turn left out of the airfield entrance and follow the street in direction to the motorway for about 2 km. About 150m before reaching the first roundabout follow the sign to “Portimao” by taking a right turn. Stay on this street for about 2 km. On the left hand side there is the supermarket. It is open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays until 8 p.m. There is a cheapest petrol station of the region, located at the supermarket area.
"CONTINENTE" supermarket (about 5 minutes later) offers besides a food-store a selection of small restaurants for eating and also stores to buy shoes, cosmetics, clothing and electronic devices.
Driving directions:
Take the same directions as described to the E.LECLERC (see above).
Go past E.LECLERC to the next roundabout. Take the first exit to the right. Keep going straight and passed the next roundabout (or second exit to the right). Before reaching the third roundabout you’ll see the CONTINENTE Supermarket at your left hand side. To enter the parking-lot you must do a full turn around the roundabout and enter the parking lot to the right. CONTINENTE is open on weekdays until 9 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays until 8 p.m.
“LIDL-“ and “ALDI-Supermarkets you will find opposite the CONTINENTE or by exiting the roundabout immediately to the right.
“CARREFOUR” in the “RETAIL PARK” of Portimao.
Driving directions:
Turn left out of the airfield entrance, follow the street in direction to the motorway N125, enter the first roundabout and take a right turn at the sign to “Portimao”. Take the next exit to the right indicated with “Zona industrial” and follow the directions to the retail park Opening hours are until 9 p.m, weekend until 8 p.m.
Restaurants
The Restaurants und Bars in Alvor are reachable from the Clube Brisamar good as pedestrian. There are several little, easy equipped restaurants where you can eat typical land menues for a small price. Besides this you can find Chinese, Indian and Italian restaurants. We put a short collection of the most favourite restaurants of parachute jumpers.
Dictionary
To get over the hurdles of daily life in the Algarve we have made a short dictionary for you. With this you can offer a beer on your own or ask for the way to go.

Sky Cafe (Beverages and Snacks)
Besides Beverages the SkyCafe offers a little menu card.
Preferred is the Galão. It is served in a glass and contains an expresso filled up with warm milk.
He jumping day is closed with a bottle of beer or a port wine at the SkyBar. At 8 p.m. you must have left the airfield and so the bar inside the tower building, too. From this year there is the possibility to enter the SkyCafe from outside, from the parking area. Here you can drink beer after 8 p.m. and talk about nice skydiving stories.
Arrival
Arrival by car
After leaving the airport Faro direction Faro and Lisboa and Portimao. After 8km a blue plate motorway 22 to the right to the motorway direction Lisboa-Portimao ( A22/ IC 1). Follow the A22 direction Portimao - Lagos until exit alvor (No. 4). Follow the street to Alvor by passing two traffic circuits. After about 2 km the airfield Alvor is on the right side.
Flight connections
Destination airport Faro: about 65 km from Portimáo/ Alvor.
Destination airport Lisboa: about 280 km from Portimáo/ Alvor.
You have to book all flights on your own!!

We are happy to help when you reserve a rental car. A car of the CAT. C costs 115,00 Euro / week. All insurances are included!

Apartements
The Apartements are equipped all the same (standard).
In the kitchen there are pots, pans, Cutlery and Plates and a refrigerator and a stove. Salt, spices, oil vinegar and washing-up-lotion are not in the apartements. We recommend to take small sizes from home or to share these things with others jumpers. The water from the tap is chlored very hard. Big bottles with drinking waters are available cheap in the supermarket. You can get bed linen and towels from the apartement owners. the apartements are cleaned all 2 to 3 days.
The apartements are equipped with a washing machine ( You have to get washing powder on your own).
