Our performances
Who wants to combine parachuting with holidays, sea, sun and a breathtaking panorama is at the right place at SKYDIVE ALGARVE.
At one of the nicest jumping areas of Europe we offer the possibility to learn parachute jumping in a relaxed holiday atmosphere. The parachute school SKYDIVE-ALGARVE, which is stationed at the airfield for many years, offers qualified instructors and modern jump-equipment to learn the whole spectrum of skydiving.
For those wanting to experience the fascination of free falling quicker, there is the possibility of doing a tandem jump. After a short introduction the flight takes you along the coastline up to an altitude of 13500 feet. Leaving the aircraft and during the tandem-jump you will see the south western tip of Europe , the Cabo de Sao Vincente on one side. On the other side the view goes along the coast deep into Spain.
Even regular jumpers have been so fascinated by this view, so that they open their canopies at a higher altitude, to enjoy this spectacular panorama.
„Birdman“-Pilots, wearing wing-suits in freefall to extend their freefall time, are going up again and again, to enjoy flying along the fascinating coastline of the Algarve.
Canopy Piloting courses with known coaches are offered and are also quite looked for. Goals are to perform safe and endless swoop-landings. Beach-jumps are offered regularly, where experts are able to demonstrate their skills at landings in the soft and deep sands of Praia de Alvor.
The "FreeFlyScene" quickly spread the word, that the DO-28-airplanes at SKYDIVE ALGARVE feature some of the fastest climbing turbines in Europe. Exit altitudes of up to 14000 feet and higher are more the normality than the exemption. One of Europe’s leading Freeflying teams, "Free Flight Paratec" from Germany, has chosen SKYDIVE ALGARVE as its training and coaching centre. The team is present at SKYDIVE ALGARVE’ specific Freeflying event "Head Rush", which is held in January/February each year and is aimed to be one of the top events for the Free Flyers, taking place at the Algarve.
Freefall Formation Skydiving or "Relative Work" is still the most widespread discipline in sport parachuting. After completing your basic instruction course you may learn the art of flying with one or more other skydivers through instruction by our load-organizers or our instructors offering one-on-one-jumps, RW-group-organizing and team-coaching.
